Last night the Golden Eagle Girls Lacrosse team played host to conference foe Bishop Chatard. The sixth ranked Bishop Chatard Trojans came to the nest with a 10 - 4 record and was also undefeated in conference play. The first quarter was tight but the Golden Eagles managed to hold a 4 - 1 lead as the quarter expired. In the second quarter, the Golden Eagles erupted with 8 goals while shutting out the Trojans. It was 12 - 1 at half time. Following the break, the Golden Eagles notched another 4 goals in the third quarter stretching their lead to 16 - 2. By the time the game was over, it was 18 - 4 in favor of the home team. This win secured the Circle City Championship for the Golden Eagles. This is the 5th Circle City Championship for the team, with the girls winning the past 4 in a row. The team is back in action tomorrow, May 2, as they resume their weather delayed game against #2 Carmel from either this season. The game resumes at 7 pm!
