Golden Eagle Boys Soccer Bounces Back in a Big Way

On a cool night that seemed more like late September, the Guerin Catholic Golden Eagles won their first road match of the new season 4-0 over Park Tudor. Contrasting styles were in play for most of the match with Park Tudor playing a high tempo attacking pace, and Guerin Catholic more of a possession based opportunistic attacking pace. Guerin Catholic broke through for the games first goal midway through the first half on a cross from midfielder Conner Klen '27 which was finished by Robbie Burt '24. Burt tallied his second goal on a direct feed from Gavin Rieck '25, and Rieck finished the scoring in the first half by taking a long pass from central defender Cade Tyson '25 to take a 3-0 lead into halftime. The lone goal of the second half was placed in the back of the net by Burt on a cross from Cam Parker '25. It was Robbie's first hat-trick of his high school career. Both teams played hard and have an opportunity to see each other again in the Sectionals. Thanks Coach Alvarez for the write up! The Golden Eagles are on the road again on Thursday, 8/22 at Heritage Christian at 7:30 PM.
