Last Friday night, the Golden Eagles played host to the Heritage Christian Eagles. The Golden Eagles scored first on Jack Linden '26 18 yard touchdown. Linden would go on to score 2 more touchdowns on the evening. Linden also set 2 records on the evening for the program. First, he ran for 325 yards, previous record was 277 set in 2015. Second, he would carry the ball 44 times, the previous record was 40 also set in 2015. Guerin Catholic would push the lead to 29-6 in the first half, but the Eagles of Heritage Christian fought back to make the game 32-20 by half time. The Eagles outscored the Golden Eagles in the 3rd quarter pushing the game to 40-34, still in favor of the home team. The Golden Eagles would seal the game with 2 late touchdowns, the first was another Linden touchdown, and the other was a 8 Yard touchdown pass from Malcolm Houze '25 to Adam McNeany '25. Houze would finish the night 9 of 12 with 150 yards passing, 12 yards rushing, and 4 touchdowns. Linden finished the night with 325 yards, longest carry of 40 yards, 44 carries and 3 touchdowns. Aiden Horn '27 would finish with 54 yards in receiving and 2 touchdowns. Hayden Clear '24 would finish with 88 yards in receiving and 1 touchdown. McNeany would finish with 8 yards and 1 touchdown. Defensively - Dominic Elliot '25 would record an interception and and 6 tackles. Dylan Vargas '25 lead the team with 15 tackles. The Golden Eagles are back in action this Friday Night at Home at 7:00pm as they host the Brebeuf Jesuit Braves. This is the first of 3 conference opponents in a row.
