On Saturday night, the Golden Eagle Boys Basketball team traveled to Roncalli for the chance to sweep the conference and become Circle City Conference Champions for the second time in program history. Down 26 - 21 at half time, the team rallied by scoring 34 points in the second half, and holding the Royals to just 20. Jake Grissom '27 lead all scorers with 17 points. Ryne Paris '25 and Bryson Cardinal '25 each had 12 points. Cardinal also led the team in rebounds with 10. The win on Saturday completed a conference sweep. In order, the Golden Eagles beat Chatard 71 - 34, beat Heritage Christian 63 - 46, beat Brebeuf Jesuit 52 - 39, and beat Roncalli 55 - 46. In 2023, the team tied with Brebeuf Jesuit to be co-champions for the Circle City. This is the first time that the Golden Eagles are the sole winners. The boys are back in action Tuesday, Feb 25, when they host University for a 7:30 tip. This will be there last game in the Nest for the 2025 season.
